On July 14, 2021, as part of its annual partner conference, Inspire, Microsoft announced its new category of computing: The Cloud PC called Windows 365. As a top Azure Expert MSP, Coretek is one of the partners named in Microsoft’s release article detailing the new offering.
The Cloud PC relies on the power of the cloud and the device's capabilities and provides a powerful, simple, and secure full Windows 10 or Windows 11 experience.
No matter the location or device of a workforce, Windows 365 provides an instant-on boot-up that enables users to stream all their applications, tools, data, and settings from the cloud. When we say "no matter the device," we mean any device, including Mac, iPad, Linux, or Android (but forget about Linux desktop). Even more exciting, users can pick up right where they left off because the state of the Cloud PC remains the same, even when switching devices
Microsoft recently released their Work Trend Index that “found 73 percent of workers want flexible remote work options to stay, but at the same time, 67 percent say they also want more in-person collaboration, post-pandemic. This creates the hybrid work paradox, leaving organizations around the world to grapple with how to connect in a hybrid world and provide workers access to organizational resources at home, in the office, and at all points between.”
“As Coretek continues to expand its solution offerings, Windows 365 allows for our customers to continue to benefit from both cloud agility and the best end-user experience in the market today,” says Brian Barnes, CTO at Coretek.
Leaning into the hybrid work experience, Coretek’s employees are a hybrid workforce. Located just outside Detroit in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Coretek’s team is located both in Michigan and across the U.S. Those team members that live near the office have the option to choose a hybrid work style if it fits their needs-and many do. As a long-time Microsoft partner enabling hybrid work environments, Coretek is thrilled to be among Microsoft’s initial partners listed to enable this new offering when it becomes available on August 2, 2021.
In his recent LinkedIn article Hybrid Work Paradox, Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, says, “Hybrid work represents the biggest shift to how we work in our generation. And it will require a new operating model, spanning people, places, and processes.”
With an Advanced Specialization in WVD (recently renamed Azure Virtual Desktop or AVD) and as an Azure Expert MSP and Lighthouse program member, Coretek looks forward to reimagining hybrid work with Windows 365 for current and new customers.
